File Privacy Verification

How Your Files Are Handled by Each Tool

  • 100% Client-Side In-Browser Tools: Merge PDF, Split PDF, Compress PDF, Rotate PDF, Image to PDF, PDF to Image, PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, Protect PDF, Watermark PDF, and all Calculators & Network Utilities process your data exclusively in your browser's memory. No files are uploaded to our backend.
  • Ephemeral Server-Side Decryption (Unlock PDF): Unlock PDF transmits the file and password over HTTPS to /api/pdf/unlock so the server-side qpdf engine can decrypt the document. Temporary files in /tmp are overwritten with zeros and deleted via fs.unlinkSync() in a finally block immediately before the response is returned. No files, passwords, or filenames are retained or logged.
